According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in April, 2021, Maryland added the highest number of jobs to the federal government scientific research and development services industry (29), followed by California (7), and Texas (7).

On the other hand, Massachusetts added the least number of jobs (-6), followed by Pennsylvania (-2), and Oregon (-1).
