According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in August, 2021, Virginia added the highest number of jobs to the federal government other schools and instruction industry (2), followed by Maryland (1), and New Jersey (1).

On the other hand, Hawaii added the least number of jobs (-2), followed by California (-2), and New York (-1).
