According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in May, 2019, Virginia added the highest number of jobs to the federal government national security and international affairs industry (756), followed by California (343), and Maryland (308).

On the other hand, Idaho added the least number of jobs (-142), followed by Wyoming (-42), and Vermont (-42).
