United States Payroll Employment By State for The Local Government Service Providing Industry in September, 2020

According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in September, 2020, New Jersey added the highest number of jobs to the local government service-providing industry (141,654), followed by California (116,030), and Illinois (58,937).

On the other hand, Washington added the least number of jobs (-1,351), followed by Hawaii (-524), and Nevada (569).
