According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in January, 2020, Maryland added the highest number of jobs to the local government trade, transportation, and utilities industry (), followed by New York (3,953), and California (1,673).

On the other hand, Minnesota added the least number of jobs (-615), followed by Illinois (-219), and Pennsylvania (-204).
