According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in January, 2020, Virginia added the highest number of jobs to the local government financial activities industry (), followed by New York (78), and Arizona (58).

On the other hand, South Carolina added the least number of jobs (-75), followed by Washington (-66), and Kentucky (-36).
