According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in September, 2019, New York added the highest number of jobs to the local government transit and ground passenger transportation industry (3,634), followed by West Virginia (2,057), and Pennsylvania (1,001).

On the other hand, Illinois added the least number of jobs (-188), followed by New Mexico (-17), and Kentucky (-10).
