According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in July, 2020, Michigan added the highest number of jobs to the local government colleges and universities industry (), followed by Texas (26), and Maryland (14).

On the other hand, New York added the least number of jobs (-4,599), followed by Oregon (-2,855), and South Dakota (-86).
