According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in August, 2021, California added the highest number of jobs to the local government public administration industry (1,002), followed by Washington (156), and Utah (135).

On the other hand, New York added the least number of jobs (-3,611), followed by New Jersey (-2,644), and Indiana (-2,046).
