According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in April, 2019, Illinois added 490 number of jobs to the private mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction industry. Among Illinois counties, Cook added the highest number of jobs (59), followed by White (41), and DuPage (27).
