According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in March, 2019, Iowa added 132 number of jobs to the private mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction industry. Among Iowa counties, Johnson added the highest number of jobs (9), followed by Pottawattamie (7), and Cherokee (6).
