According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in April, 2019, Louisiana added 169 number of jobs to the private mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction industry. Among Louisiana counties, East Baton Rouge added the highest number of jobs (157), followed by Jefferson (96), and Iberia (89).
