According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in April, 2023, New York added 484 number of jobs to the private mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction industry. Among New York counties, Onondaga added the highest number of jobs (58), followed by Cattaraugus (27), and Rensselaer (25).
