According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in August, 2019, Alaska added the highest number of jobs to the private mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction industry (152), followed by Montana (126), and Wyoming (89).

On the other hand, Texas added the least number of jobs (-1,247), followed by Oklahoma (-1,081), and Pennsylvania (-427).
