According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in February, 2019, Texas added the highest number of jobs to the private mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction industry (570), followed by New Mexico (312), and Alaska (294).

On the other hand, Oklahoma added the least number of jobs (-535), followed by Wisconsin (-107), and Illinois (-97).
