According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in October, 2019, Kentucky added the highest number of jobs to the private mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction industry (522), followed by Indiana (241), and New Mexico (153).

On the other hand, Texas added the least number of jobs (-2,180), followed by Oklahoma (-1,625), and West Virginia (-650).
