According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in June, 2020, Michigan added the highest number of jobs to the private mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction industry (471), followed by West Virginia (305), and Kentucky (250).

On the other hand, Texas added the least number of jobs (-10,109), followed by New Mexico (-1,944), and Colorado (-1,156).
