According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in September, 2021, Oklahoma added the highest number of jobs to the private mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction industry (141), followed by Wyoming (100), and Illinois (33).

On the other hand, Louisiana added the least number of jobs (-598), followed by Alaska (-292), and Texas (-266).
