According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in May, 2020, New York added the highest number of jobs to the private mining, except oil and gas industry (615), followed by Kentucky (586), and North Dakota (265).

On the other hand, Texas added the least number of jobs (-907), followed by Minnesota (-617), and Michigan (-337).
