According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in May, 2021, Michigan added the highest number of jobs to the private building material and garden supply stores industry (2,012), followed by Ohio (1,922), and New York (1,848).

On the other hand, Louisiana added the least number of jobs (-69), followed by Hawaii (-55), and Rhode Island (95).
