According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in May, 2019, New York added the highest number of jobs to the private inland water transportation industry (164), followed by Massachusetts (102), and Alaska (57).

On the other hand, Delaware added the least number of jobs (-6), followed by Alabama (-4), and West Virginia (-1).
