According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in September, 2019, North Carolina added the highest number of jobs to the private motion picture and sound recording industries industry (67), followed by New Mexico (65), and Maryland (56).

On the other hand, California added the least number of jobs (-7,312), followed by Massachusetts (-2,298), and New York (-2,008).
