According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in February, 2020, New York added the highest number of jobs to the private colleges and universities industry (21,054), followed by Massachusetts (8,723), and California (7,703).

On the other hand, Wyoming added the least number of jobs (5), followed by Montana (13), and Vermont (40).
