According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in March, 2019, Illinois added the highest number of jobs to the private general medical and surgical hospitals industry (1,841), followed by New York (1,397), and Texas (1,095).

On the other hand, South Carolina added the least number of jobs (-2,107), followed by California (-375), and Arkansas (-158).
