According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in October, 2019, Texas added the highest number of jobs to all state government business establishments (12,966), followed by California (4,234), and Michigan (3,527).
On the other hand, Massachusetts added the least number of jobs (-1,749), followed by Montana (-1,523), and Kentucky (-1,178).
