According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in May, 2023, California added the highest number of jobs to all state government business establishments (5,070), followed by Maryland (1,520), and Mississippi (1,161).
On the other hand, Virginia added the least number of jobs (-4,300), followed by New Jersey (-3,324), and Florida (-2,526).
