According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in November, 2021, California added the highest number of jobs to the state government colleges and universities industry (1,729), followed by Illinois (714), and Michigan (681).

On the other hand, Virginia added the least number of jobs (-933), followed by Tennessee (-422), and North Carolina (-151).
