According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in May, 2023, California added the highest number of jobs to the state government health care and social assistance industry (393), followed by Texas (345), and South Carolina (273).

On the other hand, Kentucky added the least number of jobs (-122), followed by North Carolina (-83), and Rhode Island (-63).
