According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in January, 2020, Kansas added the highest number of jobs to the state government social assistance industry (), followed by West Virginia (189), and Nebraska (122).

On the other hand, Michigan added the least number of jobs (-567), followed by Arkansas (-406), and Oregon (-155).
