According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in August, 2021, California added the highest number of jobs to the state government executive, legislative and general government industry (114), followed by Maryland (79), and Massachusetts (64).

On the other hand, New York added the least number of jobs (-178), followed by Texas (-134), and Georgia (-133).
