According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Alaska was 4.4% (sa) in August, 2023. Among all Alaska counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Kusilvak (17.6%), Bethel (9.9%), and Northwest Arctic (8.5%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Aleutians East (1.7%), Bristol Bay (1.8%), and Skagway (2.1%).
