According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Alaska was 4.5% (sa) in December, 2023. Among all Alaska counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Kusilvak (14.3%), Skagway (11.6%), and Haines (11.1%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): North Slope (3%), Sitka (3.6%), and Juneau (3.7%).
