According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of California was 5.8% (sa) in January, 2005. Among all California counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Colusa (21.1%), Imperial (15.6%), and Trinity (14.3%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Orange (4%), Marin (4.1%), and Mono (4.4%).
