According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of California was 10.8% (sa) in March, 2009. Among all California counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Imperial (25.3%), Colusa (23.4%), and Trinity (21.1%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Mono (7.5%), Marin (7.5%), and San Mateo (8.3%).
