According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of California was 12.6% (sa) in January, 2010. Among all California counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Colusa (27.8%), Imperial (27.3%), and Plumas (23.9%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Marin (8.7%), San Mateo (9.1%), and Mono (9.2%).
