According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of California was 12.5% (sa) in May, 2010. Among all California counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Imperial (28.7%), Sutter (18.8%), and Colusa (18.5%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Marin (7.7%), San Mateo (8.3%), and San Francisco (8.7%).
