According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of California was 12% (sa) in April, 2011. Among all California counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Imperial (28.9%), Colusa (23.2%), and Plumas (19.9%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Marin (7.2%), San Mateo (7.5%), and San Francisco (8%).
