According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of California was 12.1% (sa) in March, 2011. Among all California counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Colusa (28.9%), Imperial (26.9%), and Plumas (22.5%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Marin (7.7%), San Mateo (7.9%), and Mono (8.4%).
