According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of California was 9.8% (sa) in December, 2012. Among all California counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Imperial (25%), Colusa (24.8%), and Plumas (17%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Marin (5.6%), San Mateo (5.7%), and San Francisco (6%).
