According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of California was 10.5% (sa) in July, 2012. Among all California counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Imperial (29.8%), Colusa (18.1%), and Merced (16.7%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): San Mateo (6.9%), Marin (6.9%), and San Francisco (7.3%).
