According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of California was 7.4% (sa) in August, 2014. Among all California counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Imperial (29%), Tulare (12.4%), and Colusa (12%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): San Mateo (4.4%), Marin (4.5%), and San Francisco (4.6%).
