According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of California was 7.7% (sa) in May, 2014. Among all California counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Imperial (23.4%), Colusa (16.2%), and Sutter (12.8%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): San Mateo (4.1%), Marin (4.1%), and San Francisco (4.3%).
