According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of California was 4.4% (sa) in January, 2018. Among all California counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Colusa (18.6%), Imperial (17.9%), and Tulare (11.4%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): San Mateo (2.6%), Marin (2.7%), and San Francisco (2.8%).
