According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of California was 4% (sa) in September, 2019. Among all California counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Imperial (22.5%), Tulare (8.2%), and Colusa (7.1%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): San Mateo (1.9%), San Francisco (2%), and Marin (2.1%).
