According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of California was 4% (sa) in September, 2022. Among all California counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Imperial (16.8%), Tulare (7.5%), and Colusa (7.4%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): San Mateo (2.2%), San Francisco (2.3%), and Santa Clara (2.4%).
