According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Colorado was 8.4% (sa) in December, 2011. Among all Colorado counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): San Juan (15.6%), Huerfano (14.8%), and Rio Grande (12.9%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Kiowa (4.2%), Cheyenne (4.2%), and Kit Carson (4.4%).
