According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Colorado was 7.8% (sa) in September, 2012. Among all Colorado counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Huerfano (12.6%), Las Animas (12.1%), and Rio Grande (10.7%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Kit Carson (3.9%), Kiowa (4%), and Cheyenne (4.3%).
