According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Florida was 3.8% (sa) in June, 2004. Among all Florida counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Hendry (7.9%), Indian River (6%), and St. Lucie (5.6%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Monroe (2.7%), Okaloosa (3%), and Franklin (3%).
