According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Florida was 5.8% (sa) in July, 2008. Among all Florida counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Hendry (13.6%), Flagler (10.1%), and St. Lucie (9%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Walton (4%), Monroe (4%), and Okaloosa (4.5%).
