According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Florida was 9.9% (sa) in July, 2009. Among all Florida counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Hendry (16.3%), Flagler (14.4%), and Indian River (13.7%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Liberty (5.8%), Okaloosa (6.5%), and Monroe (6.5%).
